at the festival
Samantha and I went to the Tsu festival today. We both enjoyed it, and K enjoyed some valuable mommy time.

Drop
And give me twenty! Samantha hasn't got the crawling thing down yet, but she does a mean pushup.

My girl
My, or rather our, Samantha turned six months old today. She even got a birthday cake, despite the fact she lacks the motor skills and enzymes to digest it. So we helped her out. What are parents for?

Lazy weekend?
We were a lazy lot this weekend. I ,being the most adventurous, left the house twice between Friday evening and Monday morn. Can't chalk it all up to sloth tho...I have had a sinus backup so bad my teeth hurt, and young Samantha has been plastering her right eye shut with gobs of yellowish goop for the last two days.
My condition has improved a great deal, unfortunately Sam's has not. Thus she gets to go to the pediatric clinic today! Yay! Ought to be a festival of panic as gramma will be riding shotgun peppering the proceedings with recrimination, accusation, and long discredited medicalish advice. Glad I'm at work, slowly feeding my brains into a succession of tissue wads.

Obama Rama
As he wades ever deeper into the stinking morass of American politics, his popular appeal abroad wavers not. This call for change was discovered on a discount clothiers going out of business signage. Change!

Best holiday wishes
Got our Christmas package from the little brother today. If he were any cooler I'd keep my beers in him! Thanks Ben, and bonus points for keeping with the reason for the season. Can't wait to use them!

Christmas!
Phase one is in the can...K's stocking duly stuffed and gleefully unstuffed, a fine Tennessee breakfast of grits sausage and eggs consumed. Presents have been opened and appreciated (excellent work mom and dad! ) and we are now preparing to take our new Christmas shoes for a Christmas walk.
This afternoon we have to pick up Christmas cakes at the French bakery and then its tripartite family Christmas party time! There will be Christmas champagne, Christmas crab, and the traditional (in Japan) Christmas bucket 'o KFC! Big fun for all and a rough Saturday for many.
To all of you out there, have a fine family Christmas and remember that we here in the Land of the Rising Son are thinking of you!
Merry Christmas everyone.
