News of the New

We have begun the process of moving in to the new house. For the time being we are concentrating on nonessentials such as winter clothes and old books. Our goal is to be finished by the end of golden week.

I am really excited about our yard. The olive trees are in and looking healthy, and the japanese maple i didnt even realize we had is beautiful. Ive got an herb garden in the works and there is talk of a screen porch. Ahhh...

Horn of plenty in box form received. I can't thank you enough. You are a gentleman and a true scholar. Like Chancy Gardner AKA Chance the gardner, I don't bandy words in saying that I'm truly lucky to believe in my mind at least that you are my 先輩。

Long story short, I frightened/delighted everyone with the lucha libre mask at about 3pm last Sunday, after my mother had run her first marathon in Pittsburgh, after we all woke up at 4am to truck down town and trudge through the 5.5 hours that the marathon took.

Then we went back to the old neighbor hood and had a couple of rounds. All warm and fuzzy I began to tell tale after tale of Gordon and Noah in honor of my righteous gift. All were in awe at our exploits. Then with a mighty "Ay ya ya ya ya YAI!" the mask came out. I truly wish you and K could have been there. It was freaking hilarious!

So now you two are are a part of our history, as I so humbly assume that I'm part of yours with the addition of your "カンチョウ黒板" to the lovely new home.

May it serve you well. And best wishes for the garden!
